“Correspondences in Istanbul” was held in Istanbul from November 10 to 14, 2025. The event began on Monday at Boğaziçi University’s Demir Demirgil Hall and continued from Tuesday to Friday at the headquarters of the Turkish Mathematical Society in Karaköy. Focusing on operator algebra theory and noncommutative geometry, the workshop explored recent developments in the structure of “correspondences”, which are generalized morphisms leading to bimodules between algebras. Approximately 50 participants attended the event, which featured prominent figures in the field such as Fields Medalist Alain Connes, Nigel Higson, Georges Skandalis, and Omar Mohsen as speakers.
