Introduction to Decoupling in Fourier Analysis
20 January 2023 Tuesday, 11:00 (New York), 16:00 (Londra), 19:00 (Istanbul)
Decoupling is a recent development in Fourier analysis which has led to solutions of a number of longstanding problems in harmonic analysis, PDE, and analytic number theory. In this talk, we will try to give a broad introduction to the subject. We’ll start by describing an old problem from analytic number theory which has been solved using decoupling. Then we will describe some of the tools of the proof.
